Prendendo le mosse dall’installazione video D’une Vénus l’autre che i due autori hanno realizzato nel 2009-2010, l’articolo evidenzia il sovrapporsi e l’intrecciarsi di diversi modi di guardare. Le immagini citate e offerte all’interpretazione (un dipinto di Tiziano, un dipinto di Ingres) permettono di comprendere i rapporti che si instaurano fra i corpi dei performers, la loro presenza e la loro rappresentazione, in uno scambio fra citazioni visive ed esperienza degli attori.

 

 

Starting from the video installation D’une Vénus l’autre that the two authors staged in 2009-2010, this article focuses on different visual approaches. The images quoted and shown – a painting by Titian and one by Ingres – allow us to understand the relationship between the bodies of the performers and their presence and representations, in a mutual exchange between visual citations and actors’ experience.
