L’articolo studia la citazione del gesto nel teatro kabuki giapponese e nelle regie contemporanee del teatro barocco francese. In tali forme teatrali, pur radicalmente diverse, si trova infatti un’analoga relazione con il gesto che lo rende citabile. È proprio la citazione del gesto a mettere in primo piano le tecniche autoreferenziali che sono caratteristiche di simili spettacoli.

 

 

 

This article explores the gestural quotation in Japanese kabuki theatre and in contemporary mises en scène of French baroque theatre. Even if they differ from a variety of points of view, it is possible to identify a similar relation to the quotable gesture in both forms. Indeed, it is precisely the gestural quotation that underlines the self-referential techniques shared by these types of theatrical show.
