Partendo dall'interesse che Dario Fo ha mostrato a piú riprese per il Medioevo e dal concetto di "transcodage pragmatique" (Youri Lotman), l'articolo si concentra sulla riscrittura di alcune novelle del Decameron proposte dal drammaturgo lombardo ai suoi spettatori nel 2010 e ai suoi lettori nel 2011. Il processo attivo di rilettura e riscrittura, la rifunzionalizzazione delle produzioni artistiche, sono qui indagati attraverso l'analisi delle riprese e degli scollamenti tra le fonti di cui Fo si serve e le sue creazioni.

 

 
The starting-point for this article is the interest that Dario Fo has repeatedly shown in the Middle Ages, as well as the concept of “transcodage pragmatique” (Youri Lotman). Thereafter, the essay concentrates on the rewritings of some tales contained Decameron, which Fo presented to his spectators in 2010 and to his readers in 2011. Examining Fo’s reuses of his sources and analysing the dissimilarities between the latter and Fo’s creations, the article will then turn to the active process of rereading and rewriting, along with the refunctionalization of artistic productions.
