Il poema Uljalaevščina (L’epopea di Uljalaev) è una delle più celebri opere di Il’ja Sel’vinskij (1899-1968), negli anni Venti e Trenta uno dei più noti e rispettati poeti sovietici. Uljalaevščina è stata riveduta e riscritta innumerevoli volte, così che l’ultima versione differisce a tal punto dalle precedenti da poter essere considerata una nuova opera. Nell’articolo si cerca di definire la differenza tra la vecchia e la nuova Uljalaevščina, con opportuni confronti con i materiali d’archivio.

 

 


The poem Uljalaevščina (The Epic of Uljalaev) is one of the most famous works of Ilya Sel'vinsky (1899-1968), a relevant figure of the Sovietic Poetry in the 1920s and the 1930s. Uljalaevščina has been revised and rewritten countless times, so that the latest version, compared to the previous ones, is considered a different work. The paper examines the differences among the several rewritings through the analysis of archival materials.
